Tracheal bullet excreted with stools: a rare course of events in airway gunshot injury
Abstract
Over the past ten decades, only five cases have been published of firearm injuries of chest with conservative management, who in follow-up expectorated the bullet. We report first case in the history of gunshot injury chest, where bullet was found near posterior-lateral wall of trachea of the patient who eventually expectorated the bullet with subsequent ingestion and excretion with stools. We try to emphasize the role of repeat morning X-ray in these patients.
